Doomsday Barrens Mat 44"x60" – Standard (with Measurements)

Absolutely amazing. Material feels good and strong. The print quality is sharp. With one game w/ standard ITC terrain, it flattened very nicely. I cannot wait until I get to use it again. I don't care if it will go out of date when we hit 11th edition. Assuming they make one compatible with whatever the mission changes are for that edition, I will buy it immediately too.

The inch grid is nice. The deployment zones are nice. The objective markers are nice. The material could be better. Shipping it rolled would be even better. It arrived folded and now I have fold lines that I am trying to work out.

I like the product it came with a good case and I love the thickness and quicks set up. Some complaints I wish it didn’t come folded up because now it has creases in it and the mat is like 2” longer then the required 60” it throws the markings off.

Setup is a breeze—just unroll and play. The mat’s size fits all my 40k armies, and the printed terrain (like ruins, fields) adds so much fun to battles. Lightweight to carry too—great for game nights with friends!

This map is beautiful! Obviously it's primary use is as a Battlemap for Warhammer 40K (or any Warhammer game), but it's also great for RPGs. I've been using it as a map for D&D and it works great as a general purpose map for wandering around blighted, wooded areas.Put a few bits of terrain up and you can kind of use it with any RPG game, really, but it lends itself to games like D&D or Dragonbane, as they also can use grid based movement when in combat.The map itself is really well made. It's made of thick, sturdy material. It's also got a lot of weight to it. I like how the back of the mat is covered in some kind of felt material. This helps it so the mat doesn't slide around on the table while playing. That's pretty brilliant and I wish more companies did that! The print quality is really nice as well. The graphics are clean and crisp and the grid markings are not intrusive.Overall, I think it's a great Battle Mat and I plan on using it for many years to come.
